Put Your Scale in the Closet Now
Do you use your bathroom scale as a measure of your self-worth? Stop it. Stop it right now. A scale has little to do with your health but it can have A LOT to do with how you feel about yourself. A recent survey said that getting on a scale was cited as one reason women avoided going to the doctor. That’s just crazy!
Measure your fitness routine by how it makes you feel not by something you bought at a discount store. Chances are the darn thing isn’t working right anyway. Muscle weighs more than fat, did you know that? So why would you measure success while you increase your fitness routine by the numbers on a scale?
How do your clothes fit?
How does your head feel?
Are you sleeping better?
Do you just feel better?
You’ll find that exercising for you and not that thing on the floor next to your dirty socks will make your efforts a lot more rewarding. And when your jeans from two years ago slip back on and snap without your having to inhale your tongue, well, that’s how it’s supposed to go.
